Oasis & Warehouse Group Buy The Idle Man

WORDS BY:

Starting their first foray into menswear, the Oasis and Warehouse Group have purchased men's destination site The Idle Man.

Launched in 2014 by former ASOS buyer Oliver Tezcan, The Idle Man offers shoppers a curation of menswear from a range of familiar and not so familiar brands. Alongside third party brands, there are their own sub-brands: Idle Projects, The Idle Man and TIM, catering to various price points

The aim with The Idle Man they say has always been to make shopping easier for men. Bringing together the brands men want, and removing the need to visit various sites searching for key pieces.

According to official reports, Tezcan will continue to run the company. But, will report directly to group CEO, Hash Ladha.

As a result of the acquisition, The Idle Man will gain infrastructure from a UK high street stalwart. This combined with the possibility to scale quicker, I expect to see much more from The Idle Man over the coming months.

Could we possibly see The Idle Man taking over retail space from the company's other brands and thus opening TIM up to a wider audience? We will have to wait and see.
